Single Seal Technology
ADCO offers a variety of hot melt sealants designed for use in single seal
insulated glass units.
The biggest advantage of ADCO's single seal hot melt butyl
system is its nearly unequaled MVT (moisture vapor transmission) characteristics.
Single seal IG units are ideal for a window manufacturer that makes the IG
and installs it into a window frame on the factory floor. Historically,
single-seal systems were a problem to use if IG units had to be shipped to a
project site for field glazing or to a window manufacturer. Today, using
ADCOTHERM 3070 or InterSeal® DSA-4002 shipping is no longer an issue due to
high strength development minutes after application.
